For Authors
Submit ManuscriptSubmissions Are OPEN
St. Thomas Law Review is currently accepting and reviewing submissions for publication in the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Issues.
St. Thomas Law Review (STLR) publishes two issues per year, including a symposium-related issue in the Spring. The topic for the Spring Symposium will be announced at a later date.
STLR invites the submission of manuscripts on topics of interest to the legal community. To submit an article for consideration, please submit your manuscript along with any cover letter, abstract, or author CV via Scholastica or directly to lawreview@stu.edu. STLR also publishes essays, notes, blogs, and shorter pieces to the STLR Forum, its online component. STLR accepts submissions year-round on a rolling basis, until all publication spots are filled.
Submission Criteria:
- All text should be double spaced.
- Manuscripts should be formatted in Microsoft Word version 6.0 or greater.
- Footnotes should be single spaced and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation
STLR has a preference for accepting manuscripts between 20,000 and 35,000 words (including footnotes) and looks for strong writing, well-reasoned analysis, and accurate footnote citations. STLR Forum submission standards are slightly less formal, however, excellence in authorship is always desired.
Please contact our Article Solicitation Editor, Carly Athanasatos, with any questions about submission guidelines or procedures at lawreview@stu.edu, with the subject line ASE Question.
STLR retains the right to determine the final form of every article. STLR acknowledges the receipt of submitted manuscripts and assumes no responsibility for the return of submissions.
